Privacy policy

Short, because this site collects almost nothing.

What this site collects

Nothing, as this policy stands. There is no advertising on this site, no analytics script, and no tracking cookie. Pages are static files; reading one does not create an account or a profile.

The contact form

The contact form is handled by Formspree, a third-party service. What you type into it — your name, email address and message — passes through Formspree and is emailed on. It is used to answer you and nothing else: not added to a mailing list, not sold, not passed to anyone else. Formspree has its own privacy policy governing its handling of that data.

Hosting

The site is served by a hosting provider which, like all web hosts, processes the request your browser makes — including your IP address — in order to send you the page. That is a technical necessity of the web, not a choice this site makes about you.

Links out

Articles link to primary sources on other sites, including PacLII and government legislation registers. Those sites set their own policies and this one has no control over them.

If this changes

Advertising and analytics are not ruled out forever. If either is ever switched on, this policy will be updated before it goes live, and a consent notice will appear before any such script loads. It will not be added quietly and documented afterwards.
